Riga’s Retro tram is a copy of an old electric tramcar, which carried passengers in Riga more than 100 years ago. The tram’s body is a metallic structure with oak boarding, but the undercarriage was taken from an original tramcar. The main route of the Retro tram runs along the Latvian National Theatre, the National Opera, Dailes Theatre, Vidzeme Market and other sights.
From May 1 until October 31, the Retro tram is also available for rent, if weather conditions allow. The rental price is EUR 85.00 per hour, including VAT. There are 12 routes available for the rented tram, yet the client may also chose his\her own route.
